Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 September 2026. EasyKVM is sold by Avendavi, a Swedish business. Payment receipts and bank statements show the charge as AVENDAVI. By downloading, installing, or buying EasyKVM you agree to these terms.
Definitions
- "We", "us" — Avendavi, the seller.
- "You" — the person who downloads or buys EasyKVM.
- "Software" — the EasyKVM apps for macOS and Windows, including updates.
- "Host" — the computer your license is activated on; it drives the monitor switch and shares its keyboard and mouse.
- "Joiner" — the other computer on the same local network that connects to the host. Joiners need no license.
Your license
When you buy EasyKVM you get a perpetual, non-exclusive license to install and use the Software for your own use, on these terms:
- One host at a time. The license is activated on one host computer. You can pair that host with a joiner on the same local network without any extra license.
- Both platforms. The same license works whether your host is a Mac or a Windows PC.
- One user. The license is personal to you and tied to the email address you bought it with. You may not sell, lend, or share it, except by moving the host as described below.
- Moving to a new host. Use "Change host" on your account page. We email you a confirmation link; once you click it the old host stops working and the next machine you activate becomes the host. You can change host once every 30 days.
- Updates included. Every update we release for EasyKVM is included, for as long as we release them.
We keep all rights in the Software that we don't expressly grant here.
Free trial
You can use the Software free for 3 days from first launch, with full functionality, no card and no account. Use the trial to check that your monitor, computers, and network work with EasyKVM before you buy. After the trial, the host role needs a license; joiners keep working without one.
Price, payment, and taxes
EasyKVM costs $29.99 (USD), paid once. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal. Payment is taken by Stripe at checkout; we never see your card details. VAT or sales tax, where it applies to your billing address, is calculated and added at checkout. You'll receive your license key by email once payment is confirmed.
Refunds and right of withdrawal
You can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Email support@avendavi.com from the email address you bought with. We usually process refunds within one business day; the money goes back to the payment method you used, and Stripe typically takes 5–10 business days to post it.
As an EU consumer you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for purchases made online. Because the license key is delivered immediately, we could ask you to waive that right in exchange for instant access — we don't. Our 14-day refund covers the same period and applies to everyone, wherever you live, and you don't need to give a reason.
When a purchase is refunded the license is marked refunded and can't be reactivated. The app keeps working until its cached license token expires, which can be up to 30 days, and then returns to the unlicensed state.
Beta software and updates
EasyKVM is currently in beta. It works for most setups, but you should expect occasional rough edges. Updates may add, change, or remove features, and we may stop maintaining a feature if it no longer makes sense or can't be supported. We don't promise to release updates forever or to support future operating-system versions, but every update we do release is included in your license.
The apps are not yet code-signed or notarized, so macOS and Windows show a warning the first time you open them. The download page explains what the warning means and how to proceed. You install the Software at your own choice; if you're not comfortable with that, don't install it, and use the refund if you already bought it.
Hardware and compatibility
EasyKVM switches your monitor's input using DDC/CI, a standard most monitors support but not all. Some monitors ignore the command, switch only some inputs, or need DDC/CI enabled in their on-screen menu. Docks, adapters, KVM hardware, and some graphics drivers can also block it. We can't test every combination, so we don't promise that EasyKVM will work with your specific monitor, computer, or network. That's what the free trial and the 14-day refund are for.
The Software also needs: both computers on the same local network (it doesn't work over the internet), and on macOS the Accessibility permission (plus Screen Recording if you use audio forwarding), which you grant yourself in System Settings. Some corporate or managed computers block these.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share, resell, or publish your license key, or activate it for anyone but yourself;
- circumvent the one-host rule, the trial period, or the license check, or tamper with, reverse-engineer, or fake license tokens;
- use the Software to access a computer you aren't authorised to control;
- use the Software in any way that breaks the law.
Reverse engineering that the law lets you do regardless of these terms (for example, for interoperability under EU law) isn't restricted.
Warranty
To the extent the law allows, the Software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with your hardware.
This doesn't limit your rights as a consumer. If you're a consumer in the EU, the Software must conform to the contract under the rules that apply to digital content (in Sweden, konsumentköplagen), and nothing in these terms removes the remedies you have under that law.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising out of the Software or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for your license, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, lost data, or lost working time.
These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them: liability for death or personal injury, for gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing, or under mandatory consumer law can't be limited and isn't.
Termination
We may revoke a license if you materially breach these terms — for example sharing a key with others, fraudulent chargebacks, or attempts to bypass the license system. We'll email you first where practical, and we won't refund a license revoked for your breach. If we revoke a license for a reason that isn't your fault within the 14-day refund window, you get a full refund; beyond that, your license and any updates already released remain yours to use.
You can stop using the Software at any time. The license rules above continue to apply for as long as you use it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for new features, legal requirements, or clarity. We'll post the new version here with an updated date, and email account holders about material changes before they take effect. A change won't take away what you've already paid for: your perpetual license, updates, and the refund window in force when you bought.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law, and disputes are heard by Swedish courts. If you're a consumer in another EU country, you also keep the protection of mandatory rules in your own country and can bring a claim in your local courts.
If we can't sort something out by email, consumers in Sweden can turn to Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN), arn.se, and consumers in other EU countries can use the equivalent consumer dispute body in their own country. Please email us first — we fix most things within a day.
